They prevent the huge structures from getting damaged by the earthquakes. The results have so far been so effective that countries have decided to use the said for the purpose of controlling and fighting the natural calamities like the floods. The buildings situated in the areas close to the sea shores are fitted with BMS to ensure safety against the tidal waves.
